Missouri State Beats Central Arkansas

Central Arkansas Abduction fell to the Missouri State Bears in the first game of the Ozark Conference Tournament, 13-3. Abduction scored the first point of the game on a long huck, but the Bears dominated the rest of the half and scored the next seven.

“We showed the ability to move the disc around, but had too many turnovers,” said Central Arkansas captain Jarrod Hocket.

Missouri State kept the momentum on their side in the second half by placing a choking zone defense against Central Arkansas. Abduction tried in vain to throw hammers over the top, but to no avail.

“We capitalized on their turnovers and used a strong flow on offense,” said Dave Woods, Missouri State captain.

“Lots of bad decisions really hurt us,” Hocket said. “And Missouri State took advantage.”
